Short Story

I walked into the plain old, lifeless room.I took a glance at my father,he was sitting on the chair, holding the box of tissues. He was surrounded by thousands of tissues. He had such an innocent look on his face which was all blotchy with red eyes.I ran out of the room to find mum,she was no where to be found, maybe she was out,I thought.I dawdled down the wooden stairs, back to my dad.

“Dad,are you ok?” I asked.

“No sweetie, your mother has…sadly passed away.”He replied with tears running down his big blue eyes.

I didn’y reply.I had shock.I was worried.I raced up the stairs to my room,I slammed the door and just cried and cried, for three whole days.

Grounded

‘You will never leave’My father said as he closed the door of my bedroom.

As tears pelted down my eyes,I threw my clock at the door in anger. Why am I in trouble for leaving the castle without permission? I am 18,a mature adult, not a 10 year old.I wasn’t permitted to leave my big, empty, lifeless room for 2 months.

~One week later~

It was exactly 10:09am and my mind was about to pop out of my head, staying in  this boring room for just a week is killing me,literally.I decided that i’d just sneek out again.

I put my purple, ruffled dress on,slipped my ballet flats on,and tip toed to the door.I slowly opened the door as it creaked a bit,the I ran as fast, but quiet,as I could.I reached the door and left the castle in joy.

I raced off to the markets for the day.As I stopped off at a shop in the markets,I faintly saw this figure fastly walking over to me,I couldn’t really see who the figure looked like but all I know is that it was a man.As he slowly stopped,I realised it was my father.

‘How dare you leave the castle,’he said in such an evil, mad looking face.

With no reply he took me away and raced home grabbing my hand…

The Davison’s

Meet the Davison’s family, there are six loud, annoying and especially bratty children. The Davison’s are extremely rich. They have a five billion dollar house on the beach and their children go to the most prime school in America, and not to mention, they get EVERYTHING they fancy.

Their mother is a model for the latest gossip magazine,Vogue, and their father is a banker but at the same time,he has an illegal business in operation. Their father has a machine that prints out artificial money that looks exactly like the real currency in America. The machine is top secret and if sights the machine,he will get into a huge amount of trouble.

This family is quite busy on a daily basis.Getting the children to school is the hardest chore to do.Getting them out of bed is like trying carry a huge grizzly bear a mile. They have made a decision that they will hire a babysitter. In their opinion,$500 per hour is quite cheap to pay the baby sitter, but also mentioned by their father,it will be a huge amount of money to the babysitter so it’s best not to say a word.

~Chapter 1~

The baby sitter has been officially hired. The children’s parents are cleaning the house and are going to attempt to make the baby sitter impressed by making the children look like perfect, kind children.
As the bell rang at exactly 9:05am on Saturday morning, the children’s father raced to the door.He slowly opened the door with a huge smile on his face.

“Hello!”He said joyfully

“You must be the baby sitter?!”

“Yes,yes I am sir.” The girl replied.

The children’s father invited the babysitter in.As the walked in,all the children welcomed her and introduced themselves.

The young looking girl had golden brown hair with big blue eyes, glistening in the light. She had a white tee shirt with high waisted shorts.

“Have a look around the house while my wife and I take the children out”Their father said while eating an apple.

“Ok”The girl replied with a timid look in her big eyes.

~Chapter 2~

As the family left for a day out,the baby sitter began do look around their huge home. While looking around the house, she came upon a room with a sign on the door, it said DO NOT ENTER.
Of course you have to go in,so she did of course. As she dawdled into the big, bulky room, her eyes were drawn to a big machine, all she saw was money being printed out of it.She knew it was illegal to have, otherwise they would have been selling those money printing machines in some kind of store in the world.

She didn’t have a desire to call the police about it as it would lose her job of such a big pay per hour, and you don’t ever get so much money per hour.

As she heard the door from downstairs unlock, she raced downstairs and greeted the family as though she saw NOTHING…

A Short Story

My eyes slightly opened, blinking a couple times, listening to all the birds chirping as the sun rose,I quietly hopped out of my bed, slipped my tiny little feet into my fluffy slippers and tip-toed downstairs hoping not to wake anyone up.As I entered the kitchen,I took a glance into the pantry to see what I could have.

Suddenly I heard loud footsteps running through the house. My eyes were suddnely drawn to the living room as the footsteps were coming from there.Ran into my parents room and then into mhy brothers room. They were all heavily breathing and outcold, literally.I quietly closed the door to their rooms so that they wouldn’t wake up.

Then I raced back to the living room.I heard nothing at all,not even a pindrop. Then I faintly saw a black figure,I wasn’t completely sure who it was.

Comment who you think the black figure was…

A robber

or

My dad.

100 Word Challenge

All the children at the carnival would not keep their mouth shut! Not to mention all the children talking about how they will do in the race. They all had such worried looks on their innocent looking faces.

“Finally,we can start”Ms Goldberg said with such a croaky voice, rolling her eyes with impatience as the muttering of the children started to die down.

The children slowly walked up to the diving board with worried looks on their faces.

“On your marks, get set…GO!”Ms Goldberg shouted at the top of her voice.

They all dived in…all you could see was their skinny and bony little arms, literally flipping through the water……

Book Review

For the last few days,I have been reading a very popular book.It is called Counting by 7s.

I have literally been a book worm for the past few days reading this book. Here is the blurb on the back of the book:

Willow Chance is a twelve year old genius, obsessed with nature and diagnosing medical conditions, who finds it comforting counting by 7s.

Adopted as a baby,Willow is self sufficient and not at all bothered by her oddness, and her parents love and accept her idiosyncrasies. But their unexpected death in a car crash means that she can no longer avoid facing the challenge of human relationships and emotions.

As Willow pieces her life back together she discovers the connections that bind us all as families.

I rate this book 10/10.

Comment your favourite book you have read this year.

Short Story

It was rise and shine for all the children of The Norths School. All these eager children hopped out of their squeaky wooden beds and dawdled down stairs, muttering to their peers about the camp the whole of their grade were going to.As they sat down on the brown, wooden chairs, their scrumcious breakfast arrived. It was bacon and eggs.Without a breath they digged into the eggs and bacon, within five minutes, the plate was EMPTY.
After breakfast they cleaned their plates until it was shining like a diamond and rushed up stairs.Brushed their teeth, got dressed and you know, the usual.

Their bus arrived to take them to camp,as they all hopped on,there was a huge fight on who got the window seat. There was finally an agreement, the children sat down and dozed off to sleep until they got to camp.

As the bus turned right into the carpark, the children ran off and looked around.Their was nothing but a whole bunch of dead looking trees.

What happens next?Do they decide to go back home-or do they stay at the ‘Campsite’
